We currently have a great opportunity for a
Registered Nurse to join our Care Plus team at The Sandford Nursing Home, Church Stretton, Shropshire on a permanent basis working 30 hours per week.
The Sandford Nursing Home is a place our residents call home. It's a happy, welcoming atmosphere set amongst the Shropshire hills with luxurious accomodation and expert, nursing-led care and we're looking for caring and supportive individuals to join us.
The Role
As a Registered Staff Nurse, you will work and lead within the Nursing Home team, assisting elderly residents with normal activities of daily living, promoting independence and maintaining their dignity and respect. You will provide leadership in the care of people with complex needs and through effective communication, our residents receive a person-centred and holistic review of their individual needs and preferences.
You will administer medications as prescribed, following correct procedures and equipment, and assist in implementation of care plans, re-assessments and reviews. You will liaise with the GP and other health care professionals as and when necessary, to ensure the health needs of residents are identified and met whilst maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of patient care.
Skills and experience required:
NMC Professional Registration and active PIN
The ability to work with in a team and independently.
Previous experience in providing a quality care service for people
A commitment to delivering quality care to vulnerable adults
Excellent verbal, written and face-to-face communication skills
Caring attitude with desire to help and support others
Care home experience is advantageous but not essential
Due to the nature of this post, the role is subject to an Enhanced and Adult Barred DBS disclosure.
