We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Community Safety Team Leader to join our successful in-house Homes Plus Neighbourhoods Team on a full-time, fixed term basis. This role will be considered as a secondment opportunity.

The role

As a Community Safety Team Leader, you will lead and manage the Community Safety service to ensure that our communities, homes and communal areas are safe and secure. You will be responsible for overseeing all cases and act as an expert for the organisation, providing advice, guidance and support to your team and stakeholders in all aspects of Community Safety. You will be involved in a range of activities including inspections and oversee tenancy and estate management, working closely with local authorities and support services. You will also be involved in supporting the Community Safety Manager in effectively delivering projects and innovating new approaches to improve our services.

What skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Experience of working in a social housing environment within neighbourhoods and communities
  • Professional qualification in housing and relevant supervisory or management responsibility experience
  • Experience of implementing strategies to ensure effective working of cross functional teams and in shaping service needs to meet the requirements of our customers
  • Experience in managing and coaching a team, including dealing with people management issues
  • Ability lead and promote a strong customer focus in service delivery
  • Highly motivated and ambitious person who strives to continually improve both the quality and efficiency of service provided
  • Ability to take ownership for continious critical monitoring and service development and improvement
  • Proven track record of achieving performance targets and problem solve
