Support Worker (HomeLife Service)

£8.85 per hour

We are recruiting for Bank workers to work within
Ellesmere and surrounding areas and various locations in South Shropshire.

You will provide individual support to people in their own homes and assist them with daily activities such as shopping, dealing with their post, getting back to managing their own household activities and engaging in the community around them, to help build their confidence, and promote independence and social inclusion.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Visiting each customer regularly to provide appropriate support as agreed in their individual support plan
- Reporting activities completed and any concerns to the HomeLife Manager to review and discuss support plans, customer wishes and needs
- Taking responsibility for the health and safety of yourself when visiting customers in their homes
- Liaising regularly with colleagues in your locality and attending team meetings and training as required.
As part of our team, we want you to have:
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use
- The ability to communicate with, and motivate, vulnerable people
- The ability to be an effective team member
- Have clear and effective written, numerical and verbal communication skills
This role will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check
