Income Assistant Stafford - Hybrid working Fixed term contract until 1st November 2022 37 hours per week £25,312.46 Closing date: 17th February 2022 Start date: Immediate Interviews will take place throughout the advert
As part of the Housing Income team, Our Income Assistants play a critical role in maximising rental income and collecting rent arrears on behalf of Homes Plus. If you enjoy working with numbers, are positive and organised, this may be the perfect role for you. Your role will involve:
  • To be responsible for the provision of effective, support and assistance to the Income team. This includes the Income Manager, Income Team Leader and Income Officers. To maximise the income collected by the Association through close monitoring of payments and by following Association policy and procedures.
  • To be responsible for managing the recovery of former tenant arrears to ensure that the Association maximises its income and minimises bad debts and write-offs
  • To effectively administer and be responsible for Housing Benefit Overpayments
  • To effectively advise and support customers to make Universal Credit claims.
  • Early intervention to sustain tenancies through payment arrangements and customer engagement.
  • Liaising with the County Courts and processing legal claims through the PCOL system ( Possession Claims On-line)
  • Office working remains an essential part of this post. ( on a rota basis )
