We currently have an exciting opportunity for a
Technical Inspector to join our Housing Maintenance and Compliance team.
We’re looking for a dedicated professional to bring our values to life and ensure our customers receive outstanding services.
The role
As a
Technical Inspector, you will conduct in depth technical building inspections including pre/post inspections and stock condition surveys. You will use your diagnostic skills to propose solutions to effectively deal with defects (in the context of repairs and maintenance). You will develop detailed specifications of work based on inspection findings and raise works orders. You will also provide technical support for all reactive repairs, maintenance, disrepair, complaints, HHSRS and stock improvement works to ensure the Groups assets are maintained.
What skills and experience we are looking for:
HNC qualified within a construction related discipline, with 3 years PQE, or demonstrable experience.
Experience of defect diagnosis within domestic buildings.
Knowledge of environmental and property legilsation, with a focus on housing.
Knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety regulations
Understanding of relevant Statutory Regulations relating to Housing providers; including, but not limited to: Asbestos awareness, Building Regulations, Gas and Electrical safety, CDM.
Effective interpersonal, skills with ability to communicate with customers, staff and external contractors at all levels.
Ability to drive and holds UK Driving Licence
